More than
a choir.

Some members arrived with years of singing behind them. Others hadn’t sung since school. Many came alone. Their stories are different, but they return to the same things: music, confidence, laughter and belonging.

Thank you! It feels wonderful to be singing again and making new friends. Andy is a brilliant choir leader and makes everyone feel welcome. I’m excited about what we’ll do next!

Sing Like You Mean It is my midweek lift. Andy creates cool, quirky and current musical arrangements, while encouraging such a warm and friendly atmosphere. To sing, be present and not think about the troubles of my week for a couple of hours is everything. I love it!

I’d always enjoyed singing, but hadn’t done so publicly since school some 35 years ago. Joining SLYMI and drawing on Andy’s enthusiasm and passion for music energises my week!

A fun, positive atmosphere every Wednesday, with lots of giggles and clear goals for where to take the choir next. You can see people’s confidence growing weekly!

I joined after loving the free taster session. Andy is enthusiastic, fun, patient and talented. The choir is joyful, welcoming and a non-judgmental space.

I haven’t sung in a choir since school, but Andy makes it fun with great arrangements of popular songs. Singing together is a really joyful thing and it’s become something I look forward to each week.
